 Stella's lived experience of navigating life post-ICU has provided her with a profound understanding of recovery, resilience, and the challenges faced during rehabilitation.

Drawing from her personal journey, she serves as a Volunteer for ICUsteps, the UK's only charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by critical illness and their loved ones.

ICUsteps offers a comprehensive range of services to assist patients, their families, and healthcare professionals. The charity provides a supportive online community where individuals can connect, share experiences, and find guidance and encouragement.

 Accessibility in football is not just about ramps, parking, or seating. It is about belonging. It is about making sure every fan can experience the passion, community, and energy that make football so special.

As a Committee Member of the Charlton Athletic Disabled Supporters Association (CADSA), Stella is passionate about making sure disabled fans have a voice and that matchdays at The Valley are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all.

Stella combines her love of football with her support of CADSA, helping improve the experiences of disabled supporters and championing access across the game.

An opportunity can change everything. Sometimes all it takes is the right support, the right skills, and someone who believes in your potential.

As a volunteer, Stella gives back as a mentor to students of the Hotel School, an award-winning charity that empowers people who have experienced homelessness and other disadvantages to build careers in the hospitality industry.

The aim is simple but powerful: to help people secure employment and succeed in their new careers.
